Why We Coach the Way We Do
At Argentine School of Football, our coaching is built around one simple principle: the player comes first. Every session is designed to support the individual journey of each child, helping them grow in confidence, develop their skills and enjoy the game in a positive, inclusive environment. We coach with intention, care and belief in every player’s potential, because football is not just about the game, it’s about who they become through it.

Development Over Results
Winning is not the measure of success. The real goal is steady improvement, confidence and a strong foundation for lifelong enjoyment of the game.
Players First
The development of young players is always the priority. A coach’s role is not about personal goals, but about guiding, encouraging and supporting each player’s growth, both on and off the pitch.
Play with Purpose
Never improvise. Every training session should be thoughtfully designed, with each activity having a clear objective that reflects real-game situations and supports long-term learning.
Encourage Trial and Error
Create a safe space for experimentation. Mistakes are part of learning. Rather than giving constant instructions, allow children to discover solutions on their own, and try again when they fall short.
Focus on Positive Feedback
Recognise effort, celebrate small wins and always build confidence through positive reinforcement. This keeps players motivated and eager to continue learning.
Let Them Play
Avoid over-coaching or constantly stopping the session. Observe, guide, and correct, but choose the right moments to intervene without disrupting the natural flow of play.
Speak Their Language
Use age-appropriate, simple and clear language that children can understand. Communication should be adapted to suit the developmental stage of each group.
Team Over Individual
Promote the value of teamwork and collective effort. Help children understand that success comes from working together, there’s no “I” in team.
